My husband and I started Pure Haven Cleaning during a season of life that changed the way we saw everything.

We’re raising a busy two-year-old, expecting our baby girl, and have two Australian shepherds running around our home. Like many parents, when I became pregnant with my son, I started asking more questions about what we were putting in and around our bodies. What started as a few small changes quickly turned into hours of research, reading labels, and rethinking the products we used every day.

The more I learned, the more aware I became of how many everyday products, especially cleaning products, contain ingredients that don’t align with the kind of environment we wanted for our family.

One of the biggest shifts for me was realizing that cleaning products don’t just clean and disappear. They linger. They off-gas into your home, settling into the spaces where your family eats, sleeps, and spends time together. Unlike the outdoors, our homes don’t have constant airflow, which means those chemicals can stay present far longer than we realize.

That didn’t sit right with me.
